University of Toronto Private Transportation

Highway 401 runs from west to east across Toronto, and the University of Toronto has a campus near each end. A third sits downtown, just south of Bloor Street. On weekdays, the Toronto stretch of the 401 carries more traffic than any other highway in North America. Between two U of T addresses, your drive can take far longer than the map suggests.

Whether you are heading to convocation, hosting a guest lecturer, or bringing a full roster to a game, the same questions come up. Which entrance is closest, and where can a vehicle stop? We arrange our University of Toronto private transportation around those answers, so you reach the door you need instead of a general address.

Getting You There from the Airport or Across the City

Most flights into Toronto land at Pearson International Airport (YYZ). The drive from the terminal to downtown U of T covers roughly 30 km by Highway 427 and the Gardiner Expressway. With some flexibility in your hours, we aim for arrivals outside the weekday peaks, from 8 to 9 a.m. and from 4 to 6 p.m.

Department staff who book guest lecturers know the fear well: a speaker landing late while a full room waits. A delayed flight shouldn’t leave your guest lecturer searching for a ride. Our dispatch team monitors incoming flights and adjusts the pickup time when schedules change. At Pearson, passengers can choose a designated pickup location or request an inside-terminal meet-and-greet for an additional charge. Your speaker then goes straight to the building that hosts the talk.

For St. George, Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ) is the shorter option. Its mainland terminal at the foot of Bathurst Street is around 5 km from Queen’s Park. If you fly in from Ottawa or Montreal, compare fares at both airports.

Heading to the outer campuses, you cover about 20 km from Pearson to Mississauga, or nearly 50 km along the 401 to Scarborough. Those distances add up when a senior class visits every U of T campus in one day. We can cover that whole loop in a single roundtrip booking.

Three Campuses, Three Different Arrivals

Here is what changes from one location to the next:

  • The St. George campus fills the blocks between Bloor and College, and if you last visited a few years ago, its centre will look different. When the Landmark Project wrapped up in 2024, cars disappeared from the surface of King’s College Circle, leaving the front lawn to people on foot. King’s College Circle is now largely pedestrian-only, so a campus address doesn’t always lead to a suitable vehicle stopping point. Before your pickup, our team checks the building entrance and confirms where your chauffeur can meet you without requiring you to search around campus.
  • At 3359 Mississauga Road, between Burnhamthorpe Road and Dundas Street, the western campus has three ways in. Two entrances sit on Outer Circle Road, and the third comes through The Collegeway at the south end. Tell us where your meeting or class takes place, and we use the entrance nearest to it.
  • Out east, we approach Scarborough from the Morningside Avenue exit of the 401, then follow Military Trail. From there, Highland Hall and the athletics complex sit a short turn away on Pan Am Drive.

Downtown, convocation brings its own set of drop-offs. Graduates collect their regalia at the Medical Sciences Building, while guests head to Convocation Hall. Graduates can initially claim up to two guest tickets for Convocation Hall, with additional tickets sometimes available through the university’s request process. Family members without tickets can watch the ceremony from the accessible viewing room in the Sandford Fleming Building. We can coordinate your family’s arrival around these separate destinations, then arrange a pickup after the ceremony.

Game Days at Varsity Stadium, Varsity Arena, and the Goldring Centre

If you are cheering on the Varsity Blues, you will find their main venues within one block of each other near Devonshire Place. Football and other outdoor teams play in front of up to 5,000 fans at the stadium. Next to it, the arena has hosted Blues hockey since 1926. On Devonshire Place, the Goldring Centre fills a 2,000-seat field house for basketball and volleyball.

Bike lanes run along Bloor at this point, and after a big match the crowd fills the sidewalk. Because of this, we settle on a meeting point on a nearby side road for game-day arrivals and departures in advance.

Choosing a Vehicle for Your U of T Visit

Whichever visit brings you to U of T, one of these vehicles will suit it:

  • On a day of faculty interviews, a candidate can review notes between stops in the private rear cabin of our Mercedes S-Class. The cabin seats three, and the trunk holds three suitcases.
  • A research group of six heading from St. George to a lab at U of T Mississauga can share our GMC Yukon. With six or seven seats and room in the back for six bags, the whole group arrives at once.
  • A visiting team bound for the arena or the field house boards our Ford F550 Mini-Coach. There are 28 seats and storage for 28 pieces of luggage, so hockey bags and other equipment fit on board with the players.

Tell us the headcount and the equipment coming with you, and we will put the right one on the booking.

Convocation Gowns and Game Nights with Our U of T Private Transportation

On autumn evenings, Blues fans stream in from Bloor Street toward Varsity Stadium. In June, the lawn outside Convocation Hall fills with graduates in gowns and families holding flowers. At Bennington, we have driven passengers to days like these since 1993.

Which campus is on your list, and how many people are coming with you? With those details, we can size our U of T private transportation for your group and send it to the right building. Past clients describe our service in plain terms, like C. Hansen: “I don’t think it is possible to improve the level of service. Already outstanding.”

Call (800) 313-7262, and our team will answer your questions about the day. For a written reply, email bennington@benningtonlimo.com or use the reservation form.
